Poxet 60 mg is a fast-acting prescription medication designed to treat premature ejaculation by improving control over ejaculation and extending the time before climax.
Poxet 60 mg is a medication containing dapoxetine, manufactured by Sunrise Remedies. Primarily approved for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) in adult men aged 18 to 64, it belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class but is uniquely designed for rapid action and fast elimination from the body.
HOW IT WORKS
Poxet works by inhibiting the serotonin reuptake transporter, which increases serotonin's action at the post-synaptic cleft and delays ejaculatory expulsion. Unlike traditional SSRIs used for depression, dapoxetine is absorbed rapidly and reaches peak plasma concentration in about 1 to 2 hours, allowing for on-demand efficacy. Clinical studies show that it significantly increases intra-vaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT) and provides men with a greater sense of control over ejaculation, easing personal distress.
HOW TO TAKE
Take one tablet exactly 1 to 3 hours before anticipated sexual activity. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water to help reduce the risk of dizziness or fainting. It can be taken with or without food. Poxet 60 mg is strictly designed for on-demand use and must never be taken as a continuous daily treatment. Do not exceed the maximum recommended frequency of one single tablet within any 24-hour period.
MISSED DOSE
Because Poxet 60 mg is an on-demand medication taken only when needed, there is no risk of a missed regular dose. Never take two doses within a 24-hour window or double up to make up for a perceived delay, as exceeding the recommended amount heavily increases the risk of severe side effects.
SIDE EFFECTS
Potential side effects are generally mild to moderate and frequently resolve shortly after use; they include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, diarrhea, and fatigue. In some instances, it may cause orthostatic hypotension, which is a sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing up that can lead to fainting. Avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery if you experience lightheadedness, drowsiness, or visual disturbances after taking this medication.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Poxet is strictly contraindicated for individuals with significant underlying cardiac conditions, including heart failure, permanent pacemaker-related conduction abnormalities, or severe ischemic heart disease. It must not be used by patients with a history of syncope (fainting), mania, severe depression, or moderate-to-severe hepatic impairment. Do not take this medication alongside monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), thioridazine, or other SSRIs, and allow a 14-day clearance window between these treatments. Completely avoid alcohol while using Poxet, as alcohol enhances the drug's neuro-cardiovascular effects, heavily increasing the risk of fainting and accidental injury.
